Matthew and Myers both grew up competing in the junior shag circuit earning multiple titles and awards. As Beach Shaggers National Hall of Fame Keepers of the Dance, they proudly continue the tradition of promoting shag among juniors and helping the next generation keep then dance alive. Both originally from South Carolina, they now live just outside of Charlotte with their son, Briar. Having grown up the junior shag community, they continue to give back to juniors as much as they can. They began hosting Junior Shaggers Boo Bash in 2024 to give juniors a fun opportunity to learn the dance, meet friends, and make memories. They hope their event will help the dance community thrive for future generations and for Briar to grow up in as well.

Autumn Jones grew up in Shag circuit all her life and attended Jr SOS for the first time in 1999. Over the years, she has taught, competed, and performed around with world, winning multiple titles and awards, including several Junior and Pro National and Grand National titles. Autumn is also a Beach Shaggers National Hall of Fame Keeper of the Dance. She founded the Junior Shag Dance team in 2008 and is the current director of “The Jukin Juniors” shag dance team where she can continue to show and grow the dance she loves. Today, Autumn continues to teach and inspire the next generation - including her son, Conner - passing on the joy and tradition of shag dancing. Partnering with Matthew and Myers, Autumn has been instrumental in bringing this event to life and promoting it throughout the shag community.
